::The young woman perched in the old twisted tree, her skin glistening against its golden bark. She had been sitting there for most of the day, watching the clouds in the south grow and darken. It would rain soon, she knew, the first of the winter storms. But she did not care for rain. Her storm-gray eyes roved the storm-gray clouds, watching for the tell-tale flash. The storm had come inland fast, and was almost directly overhead as the first rumbles began to stir in the belly of the sky. The woman grinned, a fierce, uncontrolled grin, and carefully stood, balanced on the highest peak on the cliff-side. As lightning began to dance, she laughed, thrusting her hands, decked with rings of copper and iron and steel, into the sky. Lightning stuck, again and again, as she shoved it out of herself, and into the stones at her neck, hands, ears. She forced the fire back until the storm wore itself out, when at last she collapsed, weary and vibrant, glowing. She grasped the pendant at her neck, examining the copper-bound glass vessel for flaw, satisfied with its stability, and her own. Lightning hunting was not for the shy of heart.::

Shards of street glass can be transformed into something beautiful and elegant, with enough patience. This pendant-earring set had to be carefully sanded down, then wrapped, but are now a sophisticated, spunky way to dress up your favorite going-out outfit. The glass is perfectly clear, defined by the ambient light and the vivid copper wire. The earrings (~6cm/2.5in) are tipped with mock-moonstone glass cube glass beads, and the pendant's (5.5cm/2.25in) dagger-shape is tipped with a copper coil, insuring it doesn't snag. Sure to catch people's eye, if lightening isn't your taste.
